Book Friday Is Here – Try Write Club This December

A Gentle Black Friday Invitation to Write Club

Hi, Reader! November seems to disappear in a blink, doesn’t it? One minute you’re lighting a candle and promising yourself a peaceful writing hour, and the next you’re caught in the swirl of end-of-year busyness. If you’ve been wanting to carve out gentle, protected time for your writing, the Write Club December trial is your chance to begin.

You can join for £9 and take part in three live lunchtime accountability sessions, where you’ll write alongside me and other neurodivergent women, and spend a focused hour on whatever project matters most to you.

December is busy for so many of us, which is exactly why I wanted to create a softer, steadier rhythm - a weekly pause that supports your goals, your ideas, and the stories tugging at your sleeve. The full membership opens in January at £29, but this weekend’s Black Friday offer lets you explore the space first and see if it’s the right fit for your writing life.

Sign up before 2nd December to get the trial price.

About Write Club

Write Club is a kind, supportive, ND-friendly space for writers with brains that don’t fit the default. ADHD, autistic, dyslexic, dyspraxic, AuDHD, the recently diagnosed, and the “I’ve just always felt different” crowd - you’re all welcome here.

This space is for planning and doing. There’s light coaching in the open and close of each session, but line-editing isn’t included - it’s all about giving you time, structure, and encouragement to move your project forward.

It’s a space built on empathy rather than pressure. You show up in whatever way you can, I’ll lend you some executive function, and off we go.

Whether you’re inching forward on a chapter, untangling a tricky scene, or simply trying to reconnect with your creativity, I hope this December trial of Write Club gives you a calm place to land. A small regular writing ritual can make such a difference, especially for those of us with beautifully squiggly brains who thrive with a bit of gentle structure. I’d love to see you there and cheer you on as you carve out space for the stories only you can tell.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to start writing again… consider this your nudge.
Come and try Write Club this December - I think you’ll feel right at home.

Gail Doggett - Writing Mentor and Coach

I've been working with writers for two decades, from acquiring fiction and non-fiction at a major publishing house, all the way to being in 1:1 critique relationships, and accountability partnerships.

I bloody love talking about stories, and characters, ideas and I'm also very aware of what it's like to feel stuck and wanting to bang your head on the desk (please don't do that!).

And for all of us neurodivergent folk, as a late-diagnosed ADHDer myself, I also want to reiterate that there's no shame either in getting stuck or just feeling like you can't get yourself together to do this, even though it's all that you can think about. But I do want you to tell your story.

Get in touch, and let's see what we can do together!

Hi, Reader! You've found your way to this corner of the internet maybe via a recommendation from someone I work with, or some flavour of Google search involving "Help for ADHD writers", "How to write a book when you can't focus", or "writing with low spoons". This is a space for the gloriously imperfect, the neurodivergent late bloomers, and the ones who dream of escaping to a cabin in the woods with a stack of books and zero notifications. New: Write Club is Open I've made a place for us!...

So… are you ready for Christmas? Hi, Reader! If “ready” means the presents are wrapped bought, at least one room of the house is presentable, and the out-of-office is on, then I’m not quite there. If I accept that New Years’ Greetings are just as good as Christmas cards, shop-bought mince pies will do fine this year, and I don’t bank too much on being on the Nice List… then maybe. Yes. Wherever you are on the festive readiness scale, I hope you’re able to find a few moments over the coming...

It’s the Spooky Season for Writers Hi, Reader! I have to say upfront that I love, love, love Halloween, autumn, and all things cosy (except pumpkin spice because it tastes like someone ground up pot pourri and spoiled my coffee) and yes I’m still bitter that it’s not a public holiday in the UK. For me October is the time to hunker down after September’s “new pencil case energy” Get all cosy while writing, drinking hot chocolate and heading into reading hibernation - totally a thing, trust me...
